Biographie de GloryHammer

Gloryhammer est un groupe de power metal à tendance medieval metal formé en 2010 en Ecosse.
Fondé comme projet parallèle du claviériste/chanteur Christopher Bowes du groupe de pirate metal Alestorm, le groupe se fait vite remarquer et signe un contrat en 2010.
Leurs thèmes se basent surtout sur l'heroic fantasy des univers de Tolkien et autres œuvres majeures. D’ailleurs ils se définissent eux-mêmes sur leur site officiel comme un groupe d' «Heroic Fantasy Power Metal». La totalité du groupe se produit costumé : costumes de mage et de chevalier entre autres. Le groupe est composé de Thomas Winkler (chant), Christopher Bowes (claviers), Paul Templing (guitare), James Cartwright (basse) et Ben Turk (batterie).
Leur premier album 'Tales from the Kingdom of Fife' est sorti le 29 mars 2013.
En 2021, Thomas Winkler quitte le groupe et fonde Angus McSix, il est remplacé par Sozos Michael.
