Biographie de Travis
Travis est un groupe de pop rock alternatif formé en 1990 à Glasgow, Ecosse.
Il est fondé par les frères Chris et Geoff Martyn. S'ajoutent ensuite Andy Dunlop (guitare) et Billy Menmuir (batterie) bientôt remplacé par Neil Primrose. Enfin il y a Catherine Maxwell (chant) qui finit la formation de Glass Onion. Il sortent un Ep 'The Glass Onion' en 1993. Quelque temps après, le groupe se rebaptise Travis, en référence à un personnage joué par Harry Dean Stanton dans le film "Paris, Texas" réalisé par Wim Wenders. A partir de 1994, le groupe comprend Francis Healy (chant-guitare), Andrew Dunlop (guitare-banjo-chœurs), Neil Primrose (batterie-percussions) et Douglas Payne (basse-chœurs depuis 1994).
Leur premier album 'Good Feeling' est sorti en 1997.
