Biographie de Florence + the Machine
Florence & the Machine est un groupe d'insie rock formé en 2007 à Londres, Angleterre.
Il est composé de Florence Welch (chant), Robert Ackroyd (guitare), Mark Saunders (basse-percussions), Tom Monger (harpe), Isabella Summers (clavier), Rusty Bradshaw – (clavier-chœurs), Christopher Lloyd Hayden (natterie-chœurs) et Sam White (chœurs)
Florence and The Machine a été très bien accueilli par les médias britanniques, surtout par la BBC. La chaîne a en effet joué un rôle déterminant dans l'ascension de Florence and The Machine grâce à son concept BBC Introducing qui a permis a Florence and the Machine de se produire au festival de Glastonbury qu'aux Reading and Leeds Festivals. Le premier album, Lungs, sort le 6 juillet 2009 porté par le succès actuel de "Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) au Royaume-Uni.
