Biographie de In Flames
In Flames est un groupe de metal formé en 1990 à Gothenburg, Suède.
Il est fondé comme projet parallèle par Jesper Strömblad du groupe Ceremonial Oath. En 1993, il décide de quitter Ceremonial Oath à causes de différends musicaux et se concentre alors sur In Flames. Il engage alors Glenn Ljungström à la guitare et Johan Larsson à la basse.
Leur premier album 'Lunar Strain' est sorti en 1994.
Le départ du guitariste et fondateur Jesper Strömblad a été annoncé sur leur MySpace le 12 février 2010. Niclas Engelin le remplace à partir de février 2011. Le groupe est depuis composé de Anders Fridén (chant depuis 1995), Björn Gelotte (batterie de 95 à 98 et guitare depuis), Peter Iwers (basse depuis 1997), Daniel Svensson (batterie-percussions depuis 1998) et Niclas Engelin (guitare de 1997à1998, 2006, 2009, et depuis 2011).
