Biographie de System Of A Down

System Of A Down ou SOAD est un groupe de rock formé à Glendale, US en 1994.
Serj Tankian (chant-clavier) et Daron Malakian (chant-guitare) forment un premier groupe Soil en 1992 avec Dave Hakopyan (basse) et Domingo "Dingo" Laranio (batterie). Après sa dissolution, Tankian, Odadjian et Malakian forment un nouveau groupe, System of a Down. Depuis 1997, il est composé de Daron Malakian (chant-guitare), Serj Tankian (chant-clavier-guitare), Shavo Odadjian (basse-chœurs) et John Dolmayan (batterie depuis 1997).
Leur premier album 'System of a Down' est sorti en 1998.
